My first visit today with my dog Jack was the most pleasant vet experience of my life. Dr. Elisse Schaaf was not only kind, had a stellar doggie bedside manner, she was also perfect @ communicating with me and my dog. That was the most relaxed I’d ever witnessed my dog being @ a vet appointment! She was so through with explanations even though I’m sure I asked the same thing multiple times as a nervous doggie mom. She took so much time with me even showing me videos as examples of respiratory distress etc. It was like talking to a friend. Really!!! She’s that calm & sweet yet equally brilliant. Not to mention I’m sure she was tired because my appointment was after 5pm. They also waved the $84 exam fee as a 1st time courtesy AND she honored my budget by being upfront on what she thought we should do instead of going for every big thing first like my previous vet that likes to charge as much as possible. Her assistant vet tech was equally calm, kind & so sweet which kept me calm, which kept my dog Jack calm. Oh, and did I mention I drove all the way from Warrensburg on a recommendation!!!! This is my new forever vet. Thank you Dr. Elisse Schaaf 💙

Have had great experiences here, until I had Dr. O’Brien. Has this weird passive aggressiveness and pushes medication that’s “recommended” but isn’t needed and will charge you for it whether you say yes or no. Staff and doctors are always nice which is why I keep coming here. But never seeing O’Brien again.

This is definitely the place to go. They care about results not just how much can they charge you. Dr. O'Brien treated my dog with the upmost care and helped tremendously. Highly recommended.

We first came here because they do complimentary second opinions for cancer diagnosis. They were so kind to us and gave us way more information than our vet did. Spent time letting us know what was happening and what to expect and how to plan for the end of his life. We had an emergency change in our pet several days later and called our usual vet, which was unable to see us on an emergency basis so we called back here and they got us right in. They gave us the sad news that it was time for us to say goodbye. We chose to schedule with them instead of our usual vet because of the care and kindness they had already showed us, above and beyond what our actual vet showed. When we showed up for his goodbye visit they let us bring our other two dogs. They have such a nice, private, comfortable room that as hard as it was to say goodbye, they made the experience so comfortable and safe and kind for us that I will never forget this experience. I will definitely be transferring care of our other two dogs. The love they showed us and our dog saying goodbye TRULY I have never seen at any other vets office I’ve ever taken my pets to.
