Cornerstone Animal Hospital

I love it here for my kitty. She has been very sick and they are taking good care of her and answering all my questions so I have a clear understanding of what's going on. Thank you!!!

I have used the boarding services provided by Cornerstone Animal Hospital for several years. The staff and doctors at Cornerstone are always very caring with our family pets and they always greet everyone with a friendly smile! We never worry that our “babies” won’t be loved and well taken care of at Cornerstone!

Very nice caring people. They took excellent care of my daughters guinea pig. Exceptional people! Facility is clean and very nice. Care for all kinds of animals. Adorable price for the procedure that was needed, molar spurs had to be filed down. We will definitely be using them again in the future for all of our veterinary needs.

We brought our kitten that was adopted only a few days prior because we were concerned with her vomiting, seeming tired, sleeping all day. The dr checked her and told us he was concerned she had distemper and that it was a life-threatening illness, that she would need to be hospitalized, given IV fluids/meds/etc and even then they couldn't ensure she would survive. They mentioned our other option would be to take her back to the shelter and "get a healthy cat", or to take her home and assume the risk, but that she would likely have a seizure and die! When we asked how he knew that was the diagnosis, he said "because it fits the clinical picture" despite only diagnosing based off the symptoms we mentioned, which are very nonspecific in nature. We left the room incredibly upset, terrified, and heartbroken that our cat was going to die, despite the fact that she was not nearly doing as bad as the diagnosis would make it seem. We later noticed our kitten already had the first dose of the distemper vaccine, which the dr did not pay attention to at all (we provided them with the vaccine records). We decided to switch out her food and get a second opinion, which we noticed caused much improvement in her behavior. We took her to another vet a few days later, and they were shocked that we received that diagnosis. They stated that the kitten was not showing any signs of infection, and that it was likely just a food allergy. We are incredibly frustrated that the vet gave us a dire diagnosis with such certainty without taking into account any other context or investigating any further into the symptoms we described. Telling us our kitten was highly likely to die and was terribly sick, that our only good option was to hospitalize costing us thousands of dollars, is an insane and entirely inappropriate thing to do, especially knowing that we were first-time owners. We hope that the vet and his team approach these situations with more care in the future as to not put another family through this much unnecessary pain and suffering!

They saw my hamster right away, scheduled him for surgery, and got him taken care of. He made it through the surgery just fine. So glad to have an exotics clinic not too horribly far away that is so accommodating and takes great care of my hamster.
