Doggy Designs Grooming Salon

I took my dog here for the first time to get trimmed/styled and they completely shaved him down without going over anything with me beforehand. My dog has a double coat with long fur and it was completely buzzed off. When I first dropped him off they said it would be their “Summer Cut” without providing any further details so I unfortunately assumed that meant a nice cut that would trim some of his long fur not completely shave him down. I’m extremely upset by the lack of communication- My dog had some mats around his rear that I mentioned when booking because that’s an area I have trouble brushing myself- the rest of his coat was regularly brushed and maintained. If the mats required a different approach I would have expected the groomer to call and explain that to me/discuss the options before removing his entire coat. They charged me over $90 dollars for this- This is not okay I am beyond upset and disappointed. I strongly strongly encourage other pet owners especially those with double-coated dogs to be extremely wary coming here.
